I fill a small glass with baby oil and completely submerge the razor blade between shaves (after 1st patting dry the blade with a tissue and removing all water)

Since I started doing this, I now get 7 to 10 weeks from each blade. I also read you can use vodka or rubbing alchohol which I've never tried. I have stuck with baby oil as it evaporates very slowly.

WD-40 may be somewhat toxic. It's made of petrol and its Wikipedia page clearly indicates you shouldn't bring it in touch with skin.

After shaving and rinsing of the disposable blade, I just fold a few tissues into a cushion and smack the blade against it a few times from each side. then gently wipe the blades from front and back with the edges of the paper.

There is a huge amount of aggressive marketing going on with this shaving cream and so many of the reviews seem too positive to be entirely impartial.....so its refreshing to read this more balanced review!

I took the plunge and bought the cream and AS balm a few months ago. The packaging certainly stands out but for me thats not very important. The big positive is the quality of the lather. It whips up quickly straight onto the face and lasts on the brush long enough to complete a 2nd or 3rd pass. The scent is pleasant, not too strong. Good so far. However, truth be told, this stuff does not often feature in my rotation. Why? I find it quite harsh on my face. My skin is not overly sensitive but this stuff leaves an uncomfortable tingling sensation after shaving. Maybe its just not suited to me or maybe its a result of the huge number of chemicals it contains. Also, I am not convinced on the need for this Decelerine. A good quality razor, shaving cream and decent technique should make shaving easy and pleasurable so using chemical aids to slow down beard growth seems extreme.

This is not a bad product, just not as good as the hype would suggest. Other, less gimmiky creams are just as good and in my opinion better, not to mention cheaper than BBR. My top three are Mitchells Woolfat, TOBS Sandalwood and Proraso. Proper products which do the job without the fuss!

Good shaving cream is very important. I get razor bumps very easily so I will definitely check that cremo cream out.

Thanks!

Hi! I use disposables and after shaving each day, I pat them dry and then spray them with WD-40. I get about one month's use from each throwaway. What do you think of the WD-40 approach? I'm in no possible way associated with WD-40,its makers or owners. I'm just a little retired guy who thought this up.

New to DE razor shaving, tried supermarket blades and they just cut up my face. Today i tried Personna blades and have had the closest shave in my life for least amount of money, £1.99 for 10 blades and not 1 cut. I love these and will always use them. No more KoS and Gillette expensive cartridges any more!

I agree with the reviews of these 7O Clock blades. For the price and the fact that they are very aarp initially, three shaves is about all you can expect which is still a great value. I use very aggressive razors and find they last somewhat longer especially on my Merkur slant razor which uses a shearing action rather than a scraping motion against the face. I dry off the blade and remove it from the shaver every day and rotate end for end for even wear daily for 2 blades a week.
