Vidyut Super-Max Platinum Razor Blade Review
There are two types of Super-Max blades – Platinum and Stainless. I tried both.
According to their website, 1 out of 5 people in the world use Super-Max. I gotta admit, I was immediately skeptical about these blades. I mean, any company that calls their product “Super-max” makes me think they’re trying to compensate for something, right?
In this case, of the Super-Max Stainless blades, my gut reaction was pretty spot on. My first pass started off fine. The blade went across pretty smoothly across my cheeks. When it came to more sensitive areas like by chin and my mustache, I started to feel some tugging. I was too scared to try shaving the most sensitive part of my face (the right part of my neck) and gave up the blade.
Super-Max Stainless Overall
There was pulling. There was tugging. There were weepers (small nicks and cuts). I love shaving with DE razors, but if these blades were my only option, I’d switch to a Mach 3 in a heartbeat.

For the rest of my face, I decided to give the Super-Max Platinum blades a shot. Luckily, they were much better than their Stainless counterpart. They were pretty similar to a Derby, but you’ll probably need to use less pressure and really make sure you take your time. The Platinum gave me a pretty close, comfortable shave with minimal irritation.
A year’s supply (100 blades) is $19.99 for both the Stainless and Platinum razor blades. The Platinum razor blades are a good value, but I’d avoid the Stainless razor blades at all costs.

Super-Max Platinum Overall
Definitely a good value razor blade. The quality of shave is comparable to a Derby.

The store that sold these blades stopped handling them. I would like to know where I could get them now. It was a dollar store. I have never seen them any where else.
